Former Spartak football player Andrey Tikhonov appreciated the performance of the Red-White striker Quincy Promes at the start of the new season of the MIR RPL.
Promes on Sunday scored a double in the match of the 5th round of the WORLD RPL with Sochi (3: 0). Now the Dutch footballer has 87 goals for the Red-Whites in 183 matches. Tikhonov has 90 goals.
— How would you rate the start of the season for Promes?
– The team is in first place, Promes not only scores, but also regularly participates in combinations that bring goals. We can say that Quincy started the season well.
– Do you have some kind of sports jealousy for Promes? After all, he is only three goals behind you in the list of Spartak’s top scorers.
— No, there is no such thing. I never had a goal to overtake someone or score the most. Scores – well done, it’s good for the team.
– Is his transfer from Spartak to Sevilla a mistake?
– No, you can’t say that. If you remember, then not only Promes left Spartak, the team was rebuilt and changed. Quincy was in great shape, they decided to sell him, it was just such a stage in his football career.
– You were once considered a top European player, is there any resentment that you did not try yourself in strong foreign championships?
– No, there is no resentment. I am satisfied with my career, – quotes the words of Tikhonov “RB Sport”.
