The head coach of Spartak Guillermo Abascal spoke about his love for rugby and remembered that his uncle played against the Russian team as part of the Spanish national team.
— Rugby means a lot to me, this sport is directly related to my family. Today I talked with my father, uncle. My uncle played for Spain with Russia here. I love rugby very much. This is a men’s sport where there is a fight for every centimeter of the field. I said that I would definitely watch the matches of the rugby Spartak, – said Abascal in an interview with the club’s press service.
Abascal took charge of Spartak in June, signing a two-year contract with the Russian club. After five rounds of the Russian Championship, the Red-Whites are leading the standings with 13 points.
