Umyarov’s monstrous inattention cost the team a missed goal.

Spartak got off to a good start in the match against Dynamo. The Red-and-Whites arrived at the VTB Arena in the status of championship leaders and from the very beginning they made their intentions clear, seizing the playing initiative. Wards of Guillermo Abascal were superior in possession of the ball and already in the first half of the half they organized several dangerous approaches to other people’s goal, although the players failed to bring them to mind. Nevertheless, Spartak acted sharply – and were close to opening the scoring in the match.

However, as it turned out, not all Spartak players were focused on the cherished goal. The efforts of the team in the starting period were crossed out by the most ridiculous mistake of Nail Umyarov, thanks to which Dynamo turned the match around.

In the 27th minute, the Blue-and-Whites forced the opponents to interrupt another attack and return the ball to their own half of the field. The goalkeeper of the team Alexander Selikhov was supposed to start a new wave of attack – and as the addressee for the first transfer, the goalkeeper chose midfielder Nail Umyarov, who actually ended up in the position of a central defender. However, the attentiveness in order to cope with the situation, the 22-year-old player was not enough.

Having received the ball, the midfielder made a stupid mistake. Umyarov, with the second touch, as if mechanically, passed back to the goalkeeper, missing Konstantin Tyukavin’s run. The Dynamo striker, who started pressing at the beginning of this rally, found himself right on the ball’s trajectory and instantly intercepted it. Alexander Selikhov tried to correct his partner’s mistake, but the striker deftly beat the goalkeeper at the exit – and clearly realized the moment, scoring already into an empty net.

Umyarov’s mistake instilled confidence in Dynamo, and a few minutes later the “white-blue” could double the score, taking advantage of the standard position, but the team’s newcomer Roberto Fernandez lacked accuracy a little. Spartak’s players, after a missed goal, did not strike a single shot on target, although they continued to control the ball and dominate in the positional game.

As a result, the guests had to go on a break for the second time in the season, losing to the opponent in the score (0:1). Umyarov naturally framed the team, giving Dynamo a goal with at least an equal game – his mistake already claims to be the main import of the sixth round of the RPL.
