The former football player of Rubin and Akhmat, Bulgarian Blagoy Georgiev, called the removal of Russian sports from international tournaments nonsense.

On July 15, the Court of Arbitration for Sport (CAS) dismissed the claims of the RFU and the football clubs Zenit, Dynamo, Sochi and CSKA against UEFA and FIFA related to the decision to exclude Russian teams from participating in competitions under the auspices of organizations.

– Why not? The championship itself is getting better every year. Besides, I can’t imagine that Russian football will be isolated forever. For a maximum of a year or two, it is not normal to engage in this nonsense for longer. We need to finish it as soon as possible.

Yes, it is changing for the worse. I try to convince every person with whom I speak that the Russian people are not to blame for anything. Russian people cannot be considered bad. Georgiev played in Russian clubs from 2009 to 2018, until the end of his career. He defended the colors of Akhmat (then Terek), Amkar, Rubin and Orenburg.
