The sporting director of Rubin, Oleg Yarovinsky, explained why the 24-year-old defender of the club and the Russian national team, Ilya Samoshnikov, would not move to Dynamo in the summer, while he called the story of the allegedly failed medical examination “idle speculation”.
Earlier, the media reported that the transition failed due to the fact that the player did not pass a medical examination.
– Why did the transfer of Samoshnikov to Dynamo fail?
– Dynamo and I did not agree on the terms of the deal. Samoshnikov comes back to us.
– Where did the story about the failed medical examination come from?
– This is the simplest explanation when it is impossible to agree. There was a story with Denis Makarov, about whom they wrote that he did not pass a medical examination before moving to Rubin. Then he went through it perfectly with us and just as well went through it in Dynamo. These are all idle speculations.
It just so happens that clubs at some stage cannot reach a conclusion on important conditions. As a result, the deal will not take place.
– You have a lot of experience, including in such stories when the players stopped a step away from leaving. How will Ilya react to the disrupted transfer?
– I hope that he will endure it like a professional, because this is part of football life. It happens. There were also more offensive stories when they did not have time to declare a player only because of the expiration of the additional application time. Usually, transfers collapse not when there is a difference of 25 million euros between clubs, but when they cannot agree on solidarity compensation or other trifles. This is not a specific case of Ilya, but such small details happen. This is a common practice in the football world.
“The window will still last a week. Did you manage to keep Samoshnikov at least until winter?
– Yes, a week ahead, but I think that this situation will not happen again. I think he will stay at least until winter. I think this is good news for Rubin fans,” Yarovinsky told Metaratings.ru.
This season in MELBET First League Samoshnikov played 6 matches and scored 2 assists. For the national team of Russia, the footballer played 3 matches.
