“I just watch their challenges.” The goalkeeper of Tekstilshchik talks about how he beat off a penalty kick from 2DROTS in the Russian Cup

Tekstilshchik goalkeeper Nikita Yavorsky explained how he managed to save a penalty in a series of post-match 11-meter kicks in the FONBET game of the Russian Cup with 2DROTS.

On Tuesday, the blogging football club 2DROTS lost to the Ivanovo team in the second round match of the Russian Cup Regions. Regular time ended with a score of 1:1, Tekstilshchik won in the penalty shootout – 5:3.

– We were in the same mood as for all other teams, we tuned in very seriously, we knew that there would be a difficult game. And so it happened. It’s good that we won.

— Is the victory of 2DROTS in the first round match against Chertanovo an accident?

– I watched the game, everything was on business. 2DROTS were stronger.

— Do you watch 2DROTS videos?

Yes, sometimes I do.

— Which of the media teams do you root for?

– For no one, but sometimes I can watch some match with the participation of such teams.

— What do you think about the admission of media clubs to the Russian Cup? Some say it’s a shame and disgrace.

“It’s not shame or disgrace. I think why not. You can always try something new, especially in Russian football.

– Remember the repulsed penalty, how did you do it?

– I just watch their challenges, so I beat it off (laughs). Just kidding, we just had a tactic with the goalkeeping coach, and I stuck to it,” Yavorsky said on MATCH PREMIER.

Akhmat denied interest in the possible departure of Jikia and Gundry

General director of the football club “Akhmat” Akhmed Aydamirov has denied the club’s interest in the Turkish defender from Antalyaspor Georgy Dzhikia and the possible departure of the Grozny defender Nadera Gundry to one of the Qatari teams. Aidamirov’s comment is quoted by Sport-Express.

“We are not negotiating Jikia’s transition. Just because something is written somewhere doesn’t mean it’s true. We had no proposals for Gundry. He has a valid contract with us and is at the club,” Aidamirov said.

Jikia is 32 years old, he moved to Antalyaspor in 2025, this season the player played 13 matches in which he scored 2 goals. His last club in Russia was Khimki near Moscow; before that he played for Spartak Moscow. With the red and white team he won the Russian Championship (2017), the Cup (2022) and the National Super Cup (2017). Dzhikia played 44 matches for the Russian national team, scoring 2 goals and giving 1 assist. Defender of the Ukrainian national team: “This will be the match of our lives”

On March 26, the Ukrainian team will play the semi-final play-off match against the Swedish team in the World Cup qualifiers. Expectations from this confrontation in an exclusive interview with the site Spor.ua said the captain of our team Nikolay Matvienko.

“I think this is the strongest team we can get,” Matvienko said. – Right now everyone is focused on the situation of the Swedes. But our meeting will take place in two months. Everything can change. Sweden has a very strong squad and many of their players represent elite European clubs. They, like us, set the goal of getting to the World Championship, so a very tough challenge awaits us.

For me, the poor performance of the Swedes in the qualifying tournament means nothing. Every team can do their best in a match, even if it is an outsider, and Sweden is one of the strong European teams, that’s for sure.

For the Ukrainian national team, this will be a match of life, like all previous matches. After all, we understand that a war is going on in the country and every victory, even on the sports front, brings joy to Ukrainians in such a difficult period.
