The head coach of CSKA Moscow Vladimir Fedotov believes that his players created a sufficient number of scoring chances in the first round match of the FONBET Cup of Russia against the capital’s Torpedo, but did not convert many of them.

On Wednesday, CSKA beat Torpedo 2-0 in Moscow.

– It turned out to be a real cup match with a lot of martial arts, no one wanted to concede. In the first half, we had the initiative, scored, created chances, but the execution let us down. We were looking for chances to increase the score, but there was not enough accuracy in the final blows, – the CSKA press service quoted Fedotov as saying.

CSKA will host Ural Yekaterinburg in the next round of the group stage of the Russian Cup. The meeting will take place on 14 September.

Former French national team coach Jean-Louis Gasset has died

Former assistant coach of the French national football team Jean-Louis Gasset he died at the age of 73. This was reported by the press service of Marseille, whose coach the specialist worked in 2024.
