Haaland on “No” to Bayern: “It was disrespectful to Lewandowski, I felt bad”
Erling Haaland revealed in his new documentary ‘Haaland: The Choice’ that Bayern were trying to sign him but stressed that the move was disrespectful towards Robert Lewandowski and made him feel guilty.
“Haaland: The Choice” is the new documentary by Erling Haaland, which premieres on Saturday, September 10th at 08:00 on Viaplay.
The documentary follows the period when the Norwegian star had to make decisions about his future and weighed all the offers he had before finally signing for Manchester City.
The 22-year-old revealed, among other things, that FC Bayern had actually expressed an interest in his takeover, thereby confirming the reports.
However, the Citizens star was negative about Bayern’s move, stressing that he was disrespectful of Robert Lewandowski as a person:
“I don’t know how many goals and trophies he celebrated with the club. I felt really bad. It’s disrespectful but at the same time it’s a chance for him (to leave).” said Holland characteristically.
We remind you that the Polish striker was reportedly upset about Bayern’s decision to join Haaland, which contributed to him leaving and continuing at Barcelona.
