Lewandowski: “I was at Bayern for eight years, you can’t throw that away”

Lewandowski thanked Bayern fans for the reception he received on his return to the Allianz Arena as an opponent.

On Tuesday, Barcelona met Bayern in the second leg of the Champions League at the Allianz Arena, Bayern won 2-0.

Of course, eyes were drawn to Robert Lewandowski’s return to the field where he excelled. The summer was episodic but eventually he was transferred to the Catalans.

The Polish striker greeted his old team-mates on Tuesday and received a standing ovation from Bayern fans. He appreciated that in his statements to BILD.

“I’m grateful to the fans in Munich for how they welcomed me. They showed me respect and that’s important to me. I was in Munich for eight years, not two or three. Forget her.” expressly stated.
