Leipzig – Cologne 3: 1: With three in the orbit of the Champions League

Leipzig got back on track, defeating Cologne 3-1 in their 22nd Bundesliga game and continuing their fight for the top four of the league. Enkunkou (25′), Olmo (54′) and Angelinho (57′) scored for the Bulls, Lemberle reduced the lead to 90+1.

Leipzig continue the fight for a place in the top 4 qualifying for the group stage of the new season’s Champions League. The Bulls prevailed 3-1 against Cologne, who lost ground for the remaining six with 32 points.

Enkunkou opened the scoring for the hosts in the 25th minute with a nice direct foul. It remained 1-0 until the final whistle of the first part. In the second part, Leipzig took care of “clarifying” the case of victory, within three minutes.

In the 54th minute, the Bulls kept the ball alive despite the pressure. Haidara tagged to Danny Olmo, who put the ball into the net with a shot from outside the box. Leipzig scored three goals in the 57th minute. He quickly ran towards the opponent from the right, Olmo fed Angelini, who made it 3-0. Shortly before the final, Cologne scored the consolation goal with Lemberle at 90+1′.
