Eidracht cuts Kaspersky sponsorship at the insistence of the federal government
Eidracht stopped sponsoring Kaspersky after a warning from the German government about the dangers of such a collaboration with the Russian company.
THE unity has announced the end of the sponsoring cooperation with the Russian company for Internet security systems Kaspersky after a warning from the German state.
The country’s digital security service has advised consumers not to use Kaspersky’s antivirus software, warning that the company could be implicated in hacking attacks due to the war between Russia and Ukraine.
The BSI claimed in a statement that it exists “Significant risk of a successful cyber attack” and Kaspersky can “Being forced against their will to attack systems or to spy on being the victim of a cyber attack without realizing it.”
Following that development, and hours after Eidracht urged Kaspersky to sever his position on Russia’s invasion of Ukraine, the German club announced it was suspending sponsorship that it had started in 2018.
“The BSI warning reflects a crucial change in data and thus our confidence in the security capability of Kaspersky’s products and services.” said, among other things, Eidracht Managing Director Axel Hellmann.

Bayern: “The door to the European Super League remains closed, our task is to strengthen the championship”
Bayern insist they have not changed their stance on the European Super League, stressing that it is the duty of clubs to support their domestic leagues.
The European Super League added another big no, this time from German champions Bayern.
Following the decision of the European Court of Justice that the creation of the newly created organization is not illegal, the announcements from the European clubs follow one another.
Bayern CEO Jan Christian Dressen assured that the team would remain true to its original position and emphasized that it was their job to strengthen domestic competitions.
