Guerreiro leaves Dortmund
The game against Mainz was Rafael Guerreiro’s last game in a Dortmund jersey. Bild revealed that the Portuguese left-back is leaving Westphalia in search of a new challenge in his career.
After seven years in Dortmund (taken over by Lorient in 2016), Rafael Guerreiro is leaving the Westphalia and the German league.
This was announced by “Bild” on Sunday (May 28). The German newspaper reported that the player said goodbye to coach Edin Terzic as well as Hans-Joachim Watzke and Sebastian Kell and is looking for a new challenge in his career and his representatives have already proposed him to Atlético.
It is worth remembering that the 29-year-old Portugal international scored a goal against Mainz on Saturday afternoon, but his goal wasn’t enough to give the Westphalians the three points (2-2) and thereby lose the Bundesliga title at hands of Bayern Munich.
