Karl Heinz Rummenigge has returned to FC Bayern Munich after two years as a board member – a first step for Bayern since the departure of Kahn-Salikhamdzic.
The return of Karl Heinz Rummenigge to FC Bayern is officially a fact. The veteran footballer, former vice-president and president of Bayern Munich, who has led the Munich side to many successes, has returned to the club’s board and will have a say in decisions about what’s going on with the team.
FC Bayern officially announced Rummenigge’s return to the team in a detailed statement on Tuesday afternoon (30 May).
Herbert Hainer, Chairman of the Bavarian Supervisory Board, said: “We’re glad to have him Karl Heinz Rummenigge as a member of our board of directors. He is one of the great personalities in the history of our club, everyone knows his merits. His experience, expertise and international network will help us enormously so that Bavaria can continue to be successful in the future.”

“I would like to thank the supervisory board for their trust and look forward to supporting FC Bayern in this body in the future.
