Manchester City’s first target for reinforcements in central defence Josko Guardiol. Citizens are fighting to get it and, according to Fabrizio Romano, the first step has been taken.

The Italian journalist mentions in his tweet that Manchester City have reached an agreement with the Croatian defender over his contract. Now a deal with Leipzig is still missing.

The German team won’t go down without a fight and, according to the publication, won’t accept an amount below €100m, exploiting Guardiola’s strong desire to make him his own.

Leipzig took over Guardiol from Dinamo Zagreb in 2021 for 18.8 million euros. That year he made 41 appearances in all competitions and showed an amazing performance at the World Cup.
