Tuchel wants City’s Ortega at Bayern, De Gea plans b
Bayern’s first target for the goalkeeping position is Manchester City’s Stefan Ortega, according to Sky Sports. Second on the list is David De Gea.
After taking over Harry Kane, FC Bayern is fully focused on the goalkeeper’s case. Several names have been mentioned in recent months, but everything indicates that Bayern have set their sights on two goalkeepers.
According to Sky Sport’s Florian Plettenberg, Thomas Tuchel called Stephen Ortega and she really wants him. The 30-year-old German has a contract with Manchester City until 2025 and was taken on as a free agent by Bielefeld in 2022.
The citizens are aware of Bavaria’s interest but will make their decision after Georgios Karaiskakis’ UEFA Super Cup.
Plan B remains in place David DeGea. Plettenberg says Ortega is a priority but Bayern have held talks with the Spain goalkeeper and his representative.
De Gea has given the green light for a move to Bayern. So should Bayern decide to do so, finding them on contract terms will not be a problem.
