Bundesliga: Mullen was not enough for Dortmund, unlikely turning point for Hoffenheim
Doniel Mullen scored again for Dortmund, but this time he only equalized against Bochum in the Ruhr area mini-derby. Heidenheim were close to claiming their first Bundesliga win, but Hoffenheim spoiled the party.
Dortmund stumbled in the local Ruhr derby after staying in the 1-1 at his headquarters Bochum for the 2nd match day of the Bundesliga.
Bochum ensured from the 13th minute that Borussia scored in their 129th game in a row and broke the division record held by Schalke since 1975. Kevin Steger scored the opening goal in a 1st half where the hosts were significantly better and missed more goals. Borussia improved their image in the second half, equalized in the 56th minute through Mullen, but couldn’t do anything, even though they missed chances.
With their first goals in the Bundesliga, Heidenheim came close to her historic first win in the class but fell short. THE Hoffenheim came back from a deficit of two goals, managed a great turnaround and took three victory points 3-2. The leader of the center of the “newborns”, Jan Niklas Beste, had the chance to open the scoring in the 16th minute, but failed with a penalty kick. Ten minutes later he did better and finally went down in club history.
Marvin Piringer’s second-half goal seemed to have sealed victory for Frank Schmidt’s side, but two goals from Maximilian Bayer and Pavel Kaderbek within three minutes turned things around and led to a thrilling final. Hoffenheim won a penalty well taken by Andrej Kramaric, but it was retaken as it was scored before the referee’s whistle. The Croatian striker scored on his second try but the home side had one last chance for the division’s first point, but missed when Hoffenheim cleared the line.

Musiala, Miller, Urlich and Neuer sang Christmas carols
The Bayern players dropped the ball and sang the song to wish us a Merry Christmas and a Happy New Year.
In Germany, the campaign traditionally ends on the Christmas holidays. This gave the Bayern players the opportunity to escape from their everyday competitive routine. They wore colorful blouses to match the season and wished us a Merry Christmas and a Happy New Year.
The German champion’s video featured Thomas Miller, Manuel Neuer, Leroy Sane, Jamal Musiala, Tsuppo-Moting, Tell and Sven Urlaich. Everyone happily sang birthday songs and shared best wishes.
Of course, as always, Thomas Miller felt most comfortable in front of the camera, and the video below is an irrefutable witness.

Bayern: “The door to the European Super League remains closed, our task is to strengthen the championship”
Bayern insist they have not changed their stance on the European Super League, stressing that it is the duty of clubs to support their domestic leagues.
The European Super League added another big no, this time from German champions Bayern.
Following the decision of the European Court of Justice that the creation of the newly created organization is not illegal, the announcements from the European clubs follow one another.
Bayern CEO Jan Christian Dressen assured that the team would remain true to its original position and emphasized that it was their job to strengthen domestic competitions.
Analytically:
“We have taken the decision of the European Court of Justice into account. However, this does not change the position of Bayern and the ECA that such an event would represent an attack on the national leagues and the structure of European football.
The Bundesliga is the basis of Bayern, as all national leagues are the basis for other European football clubs.
It is therefore our duty and our deep conviction to strengthen them and not to weaken them. We are also involved in European competitions under the auspices of UEFA.
That’s why I would like to make it clear once again that the door to the European Super League remains closed to Bayern.”
