Bundesliga: Stuttgart dismantles Freiburg, Leverkusen goes ahead
Freiburg lost 5-0 to Stuttgart and suffered their first Bundesliga defeat of the season. Leverkusen beat Darmstadt 5-1.
THE Stuttgart have dissolved it Freiburg with 5-0 for the 3rd match day of the Bundesliga, clean up the victory in 20 minutes against Olympiakos’ first opponents in the Europa League groups.
The Swabians scored three goals up to the 19th minute through Chris Firich and Serou Girassi (twice), who were able to catch the injured Noah Atumbolou and their defenders in defence. Freiburg also had chances, but these were not as effective and were limited to one post.
In the second half Firich scored again and in the 75th minute substitute Enzo Mijot made it 5-0, giving Stuttgart the same six points as Freiburg had.

Since Christian Streich’s team missed the final, Leverkusen drew 3-3 after beating Darmstadt 5-1. Xabi Alonso’s side started the season in top form and apart from Oscar Wilhelmsson’s equalizer through Victor Boniface’s goal, the game was a one-man show. The Nigerian striker scored again in the 2nd half, as did Ezequiel Palacios, Jonas Hoffman and Adam Hlosek.
