Dortmund beat Hoffenheim 3-1 away on matchday 6 and climbed, albeit temporarily, to the top of the Bundesliga.

Dortmund has been enjoying the loneliness at the top, even if only temporarily, since Friday evening after the 3-1 away win against Hoffenheim in one of the most important games of Matchday 6, which opened the curtain for the Bundesliga.

Dortmund took the lead in the 18th minute through Volkrug. The hosts responded with a well-timed penalty from Kramaric in the 25th minute, but in the 45th + 3rd minute the “yellow-blacks” took the lead again with a goal from Reus. The international midfielder grabbed the rebound after the poor comeback and increased his team’s lead to 2-1 with an aerial shot.

The visitors were missing ten players in the 71st minute due to a second yellow card received by Bensebaini. Nevertheless, Dortmund held on and even scored their third goal in the 90+5 minute when Rierson stole the ball outside his team’s penalty area, made a 70-meter run and scored a penalty to make it 3-1 for the team.
