According to Bild, Xabi Alonso’s contract with Leverkusen contains a clause that allows him to leave the club next season to one of three teams: Real, Bayern or Liverpool.

Xabi Alonso signed a contract with Leverkusen until 2026 in October 2022.

According to a report in Bild, there is a clause in his contract with the German team that allows him to leave next summer – before his contract expires – under one condition.

The Spanish coach, who has been heavily linked with Real as Carlo Ancelotti’s successor, can only leave Leverkusen if he moves to one of three specific teams.

These are Real, Bayern and Liverpool, teams he played for in his football career. This means that any of the above-mentioned clubs that want to have him on their bench can do so from the end of the season when the said clause comes into force.
