Bayern 8:0 Darmstadt: Party for the champions against nine men
In a very strange encounter, Bayern defeated Darmstadt 8-0 in a goalless first half with three sending-offs to take over the top of the Bundesliga.
Manuel Neuer’s return after eleven months was overshadowed by Bayern’s victory 8-0 on her Darmstadt and mainly via the path. The champions achieved this triumph after scoring three goals in the first half at the Allianz Arena, scored all the goals in the second half and were at the top of the Bundesliga after nine games.
Joshua Kimmich was the first player to receive a red card in the 4th minute, thus preventing a four-pointer. In the 21st minute, Klaus Jasula did the same for Darmstadt and had the same luck, while in the 41st minute, Matej Maglitsa was the third player to do good for his team by preventing a great chance for the opponent.
In the second half the collection of red cards stopped and the flurry of goals began. Harry Kane scored a hat-trick and set a newcomer record with twelve goals in his first nine games. His second goal even came from behind the middle of the field, an incredible inspiration from the English goalscorer. Two goals were scored by Leroy Sane and Jamal Musiala, while Thomas Miller scored one a few minutes after entering the field.
With this victory, Bayern are finally overtaken Stuttgartwhich was defeated at home without this year’s leader and top scorer in the category, Seru Girasi Hoffenheim with 2-3. The visitors took the lead with two goals from Grisa Premel and Vout Wekhorst (from a penalty) in the first 20 minutes of the game. The hosts had an immediate chance to reduce the deficit, but Oliver Bowman saved Deniz Udav’s penalty in the 30th minute. The German finally scored in the 73rd minute (although Chris Firich had previously reduced the score), but his goal wasn’t enough.
