Andrew ROBERTSON: Liverpool need to wake up soon
Liverpool defender Andrew Robertson commented on the devastating 1-4 defeat to Napoli in the first round of the Champions League:
“We played very openly. You can’t come to a place like this and play compactly. They were a much better team.
Many times they have had places to give us trouble. You can’t be that obvious when it comes to playing in the Champions League. We have to go back to the basics and be compact.
We deserve this result. They found a lot of space because we played very open. There was a feeling that they had an extra person. We must be ready to fight. We weren’t close enough to each other. We have to wake up quickly because we can’t perform like this.”
