Carlo Ancelotti said at the press conference immediately after the Celtic game that Karim Benzema’s injury does not appear to be a cause for concern but his condition will become clear once he undergoes medical tests.
European champions Real Madrid started their Champions League campaign with a right foot when they defeated Giorgos Giakoumakis’ Celtic 3-0 in Glasgow. However, there was concern in the ranks of Madrid over the injury of Karim Benzema, who was substituted in the 30th minute.
Carlo Ancelotti showed reassurance at the press conference immediately after the game, stressing that at first glance there doesn’t seem to be anything to worry about, but everything will become clear in the tests he will undergo.
“DIt doesn’t seem alarming, but we’ll have to await the tests. The first scan doesn’t look too serious, but we’ll have to wait until tomorrow. It is not yet known if the problem is muscular.
It is unclear. So we have to wait for the exam results.”said the Italian coach about Benzema in the press conference after the game against Celtic.
