Champions League: Griezmann at 90+11′ saved Atletico, Hratetski’s mistake cost Leverkusen
Atletico and Porto scored three stoppage-time goals, with Antoine Griezmann’s 90+11′ giving Madrid a 2-1 Group 2 win in the Champions League. A blunder by Lukas Hratetski gave Club Brugge the win over Leverkusen.
Porto was better, had three times more final attempts but lost 1-2 from Atletico to Madrid in an unimaginable final with three added-time goals! At 90+2, Mario Hermoso scored, but four minutes later the Dragons won a penalty and Mateus Uribe equalised. But in the last phase of the game, in the 11th minute of stoppage time, Antoine Griezmann gave the “Roji Blancos” the win and the “three points” for the premiere of the 2nd group of the Champions League.
In the other group game, Lukasz Hratetski made a big mistake and put the ball in the net, resulting in the win 1-0 in Bruges on her Leverkusen in Belgium.
Atlético – Porto 2-1: Redeemer Griezmann in 101′
In a final to be remembered for a long time, Atlético defeated Porto 2-1 after scoring three added-time goals. Antoine Griezmann came back into play after the hour mark and proved to be the savior for the ‘Rojiblancos’ after scoring at 90+11′ and giving them a victory that the way the game had played made them hardly believe possible .
The “dragons” were superior, severely limited the ability of Diego Simeone’s team and after a half-time without action, the … flood of developments came.
The 2nd half included a Rojiblancos goal disallowed for offside, a serious injury from Otavio who was taken to hospital and a red card for Mehdi Taremi with a second yellow for ‘theatrics’.
After that, the game went into injury time and a 0-0 seemed the most likely outcome until Mario Hermoso scored the opening goal and sent the Wanda Metropolitano crowd into a frenzy. Significant delays were inevitable with second-half stoppages and Atletico’s goalscorer went from heroic to deadly as he conceded a penalty in the 6th minute of added time. Mateus Uribe implemented it and equalized to make it 1-1.
However, Porto were not to take a point from a game that perhaps deserved more. Griezmann took the ball from Axel Witsel in a last-minute fumble in the Portuguese penalty area and scored from close range to make it 2-1.

Bruges – Leverkusen 1: 0: Hratetski “hangman”.
Lukas Hratetski made a huge mistake, blocking the ball and ending up in his own net, dooming Leverkusen to a 1-0 defeat in Bruges, Belgium.
The game was level until the contentious 42nd minute, when a corner from the right was headed in by Lubande Sila and the Finnish keeper made a tragic error.
Leverkusen didn’t have a good image, they were in a very bad shape at the beginning of the season and they didn’t react to this goal. A second-half Patrik Schick header sent the ball into the net but the goal was disallowed for offside and the Belgians maintained their fifth straight win in all competitions.
