UEFA sued Celtic over scandalous banners at Shakhtar match.
The Union of European Football Associations (UEFA) has launched a disciplinary investigation against Celtic for the scandalous poster that fans of this team hung in the guest stand against Shakhtar (1:1) in the second round match of the Champions League group stage in Warsaw.
“Please note that Celtic has been sued for a banner displayed during their UEFA Champions League match against Shakhtar Donetsk. UEFA’s disciplinary bodies will decide when the time comes.”
It is interesting that Rangers, Celtic’s main rival in the local championship, are also “distinguished” by number one. Despite the UEFA ban, the Scottish giants played the English anthem before their Champions League match against Napoli, but eventually, according to media reports, the continent’s main football body decided not to punish Rangers for this.
In the match played against Napoli, Rangers fans, Queen II, who died at the age of 96. It was noteworthy that Elizabeth performed a performance by singing the anthem of the entire stadium in memory of Elizabeth.
