Chelsea 1-1 Salzburg: Okafor spoils Potter’s debut

Graham Potter’s debut on the Chelsea bench wasn’t what he would have liked. Chelsea were better for most of the game, taking the lead through Sterling on Potter’s bench debut, but Okafor made it 1-1 to give Salzburg the point.

The Blues had possession, especially in the first half, but were spoiled either in the final pass or in execution.

At the beginning of the second half, Mount made the parallel turn from the right, the ball went through everyone and landed at Sterling level with the penalty area. He beat Kuhn with a great point to open the scoring.

After the goal, Salzburg tried to get upset and started threatening Okafor. In the 73′ his header landed in the hands of Kepa.

However, the same did not happen in 75′. The visitors turned the ball around in an exemplary manner, Adamu met Thiago Silva who was struggling with an injury problem, he turned the ball towards the penalty spot where Okafor Athpilicueta scored to make it 1-1.
