Trincao’s magic goal in Marseille – Sporting, 51 seconds from the cross
Sporting caused a complete surprise in Marseille with Trincao, who made it 1-0 after 51 seconds with a superb slalom and a masterful shot from the top of the box.
The Velodrome was frozen due to the empty stands (Marseille was sanctioned by UEFA for the incidents in the Eintracht game) and Sporting made sure it froze even more shortly after the cross in their matchday three clash against Marseille in the Champions League .
That came after 51 seconds when Trincao took the ball from a right-wing position and brought the ball up to his left foot with an impressive solo and delivered a wonderful volley from outside the box to the right corner, the home of Lopes for the 0-1.
