Real Madrid’s German defender Antonio Rüdiger had an unpleasant encounter with the goalkeeper of the Ukrainian team Anatoly Trubin during the pause of the Champions League 4th round match against Shakhtar Donetsk (1:1). As a result, the Galacticos player received 20 stitches after the episode. However, we remember that as a reward for Rudiger’s game, he was the author of a goal that saved Real Madrid just before the injury.

Despite the apparent severity of the injury, Antonio managed to avoid the worst – he did not injure his facial bones. Now he walks with one eye closed, but his participation in the match of the Spanish championship with Barcelona on October 16 is not excluded.

Real Madrid are currently reportedly working on an option where Rudiger will play with a special protective mask. This is not the first for Antonio – in 2021 he already played with a mask.

Earlier, Rüdiger personally evaluated his conflict with Trubin.
