Messi didn’t train on Monday and won’t play in Paris-Benfica on Tuesday
Lionel Messi missed Monday’s (10/10) Paris Saint-Germain training session due to complaints and will not play against Benfica in Tuesday’s Group 4 Champions League game.
Lionel Messi came on as a substitute in Paris Saint-Germain’s Champions League matchday three against Benfica Portugal and didn’t even feature against Reims in Ligue 1 on Saturday (8/10).
However, the Argentinian star will also miss Tuesday’s (11/10) game against Benfica in Paris as he didn’t go to the pitch with the other team-mates for training on Monday (10/10) and that means he won’t be in Gaultier’s mood for Tuesday’s game against the Portuguese.
An important absence for Paris, who want to win to remain alone in the group as they currently have the same points as Benfica.
Besides Messi, Renato Sanchez, Kibepe, Nuno Mendes and Navas were also absent from Monday’s training session.
