Sandro TONALI: “We can play basketball with referees like this”
Milan midfielder Sandro Tonali finds teammate Fikayo Tomori’s red card (0:2) ridiculous in the Champions League match against Chelsea:
“A lot of things like this happen during the game. If you take a penalty and show a red card for such a touch in the 18th minute, we can also play basketball where any touch is a foul. We got a few yellow cards after some ridiculous free kicks in the first half.
Even though it was very difficult under the conditions, we tried to play with pride and passion. This disappointed all the fans who came here tonight, filling the stadium and expecting a different outcome. We thank them for coming.”
