Robert LEWANDOWSKI: We really wanted to score against Inter and forgot to defend

Barcelona striker Robert Lewandowski commented on the 3-3 draw with Inter in the 4th round of the Champions League as follows:

“We wanted to score more goals so badly that sometimes we forgot about Inter’s defense and counter attacks. They got to our goal very easily and they created goal chances. Barça have suffered a lot of injuries lately, it’s hard to play for different teams all the time. It lacks stability and maybe that’s why like this.

It’s hard to play a striker at Inter. They have five back formations, they also have a defensive midfielder. We tried to send more players on the offense, hoping one could open up. We scored three goals but conceded the same number. We’re sorry we didn’t win.”
