Diego SIMEONE: “Tasteless and unexpected. We will continue to work”
Atlético head coach Diego Simeon He commented on the team’s failure to qualify for the Champions League playoffs after the draw with Bayer Leverkusen in the 5th round match of the group stage:
“An unpleasant and unexpected moment. This was not planned but the reality also shows that last year cost us a lot.
And although I think we deserve more this time, we have two choices: to be a victim or to continue working, I prefer to continue working.”

Both clubs lost their chance to playoffs in the Champions League. Bruges (10 points) and Porto (9 points) advanced to the next round from Group B.
