Paris, Benfica Lisbon and Dortmund qualified for the round of 16 of the Champions League
Paris and Benfica progressed hand-in-hand in Group 8, qualifying together for the Champions League round of 16. Dortmund followed Manchester City after the 0-0 draw between them.
Paris Saint-Germain’s win over Maccabi Haifa and Benfica’s win over Juventus secured their place in Group 8 of the Champions League knockout stages, leaving the ‘old lady’ out of contention.
The 5th matchday also sent Dortmund into the next round as 2nd in the 7th group after the 0-0 win against Manchester City.
Earlier on Tuesday, Chelsea became the first team to secure a “ticket” for the next round.
