Champions League
Jurgen Klopp: ‘We should all be excited about this’
English “Liverpool” coach Jurgen Klopp shared his expectations from his encounter with Spanish “Real” in the Champions League 1/8 final.
“The first thing you can say about this draw is the real Champions League. This is a confrontation that speaks for itself and we should all be excited.
I know we’ve played Real Madrid in the last few finals, but our two clubs don’t meet often in two-leg clashes, so now we can look forward to it.
Real Madrid’s history in European competition is at its best. We know. However, we know that we are not too bad in this regard. We also know that we have Anfield and everyone knows what that means.
This is a really good draw. Really exciting games. The games themselves are months away, but it doesn’t take much imagination to imagine what the atmosphere would be like in either game.
“Of course, there is still a lot of football before that, so we will focus on each game step by step, but yes, this draw has given us something special that we look forward to.”
