Mourinho: ‘I’ve got over 150 games in the Champions League, I’m not complaining that we’re in the Conference League’
Jose Mourinho revealed he doesn’t mind the side he manages no longer playing in the Champions League, citing his “rich” course in top interclub competition with top European clubs.
Roma defeated CSKA 3-2 in the 6th match of the 3rd group of the Europa Conference League in Sofia last December and secured his qualification to the institution’s 16.
Looking ahead to the game against Verona in Serie A on Saturday (February 19), Jose Mourinho made it clear that he doesn’t mind that the “jalorosi” play in the Conference League because he won’t miss the Champions League.
Taking charge of the Italian team this season, the Portugal coach touted his rich course from top interclub competition through his teams in previous years and even revealed he hasn’t watched Paris-Real.
“I’m privileged as I’ve refereed more than 150 games in the Champions League so now I’m not complaining that we’re playing in the Conference League. I don’t feel nostalgia, I haven’t seen any big games. ‘I didn’t like Paris – Real while Inter – Liverpool was nice’ he explained The special.
