Tuhel left Deforme Lukaku out of the starting line-up and chose Haverts to lead the attack in Chelsea’s first game against Lille in the Champions League round of 16, with the Liluas having David as an arrow on the attacking line.

Chelsea and Lille countdown to their first game against the backdrop of the Champions League quarter-finals as Thomas Tuchel and Jocelyn Guvernek announce the squads they will use to line up their sides on the Stamford Bridge lawn (10pm, COS SPORT 2 HD and LIVE from Sportish).

The big news is undoubtedly Thomas Tuchel’s decision to bench Romelos Loukakos a few days after his heartbreaking presence in the league game against Crystal Palace, with the German choosing a 3-back line-up for the European champions and Kyle Haverts at the helm, assists by Ziggs and Pulisik.

For the visitors, Burak Yilmaz is on the bench, as is Hatem Ben Arfa, while Guvernek sets his side 4-3-3 at Stamford Bridge and Sanchez, David and Baba attack in threes.

CHELSEA: Medi, Athpilicueta, Christensen, Thiago Silva, Riediger, Alonso, Cande, Kovacic, Ziges, Pulisik, Haverts

SMALL: Zardim, Celik, Fonte, Botman, Jalo, Onana, Ceka, Andre, Sanchez, David, Baba
