Atletico – Manchester United: The two teams are experimenting on the ends
Atletico and Manchester United will play in the “Wanda Metropolitano” with experiments in both defense and midfield in their eleven.
Atletico hosts Manchester United in the Champions League Round of 16 (10pm, Cosmote Sport 2HD + Mega, live on Sportish), with both teams ending up experimenting.
Diego Simeone uses two left-backs, with Reinildo taking his natural place in the starting XI and Renan Lodi in front of him in a 4-4-2. Marcos Giorente, who has often been used as a full-back, plays directly in midfield, with Sime Vrsalko behind him.
At the other end, Ralph Rangnik benched two classic right-backs in Aaron Wan Bissaka and Diogo Dalot to place Victor Lindelief in the position of right stopper in the trio. In front of him and to his right, he gets speed and movement from Marcus Rasford, while Cristiano Ronaldo is in the lead.
