Jose ENRIQUE: If Klopp had options, most of them would sit on the bench

Liverpool’s former left-back Jose Enrique He shared his thoughts on the Reds’ problems that have caused the English club to have poor results this season.

“I don’t think that Liverpool’s problem is one thing. It seems to me that the club just didn’t get the players they really needed. You can’t leave Sadio Mane and buy Darwin Nunez and Cody Gakpo, players who haven’t landed in the Premier League yet. They were good, but they are not manes.

Salah and van Dijk seem to be out of their element, and Trent has been awful this season. There are so many players around the world on this team who have performed in such a way that if Klopp had a choice, he would have put them on the bench.

Salah was really good yesterday but I don’t know what happened to him after losing the African Cup of Nations final. He looks like a different player, you just extended his contract, you gave him one of the biggest salaries in the Premier League and he is a different player. I really think they should get someone who can really compete to replace him right now.

They looked like they were back in their best form against Everton and Newcastle and it was the same at the start of the game against Real Madrid, they were amazing. But you can’t lose 2-0 to 2-5 at Anfield. Enrique gave the team’s worst performance in the second half.
