Champions League: All open to the ticket to the quarter-finals in Manchester and Porto
Manchester City host Leipzig and Porto host Inter Milan with their Champions League quarterfinal ticket in the background. Both pairings are open based on the results of the first games.
Two very important matches will take place tonight at 22:00 as part of the “16” stage of the Champions League, where, judging by the results of the first matches, all possibilities are open and we expect tough fights to qualify for the top eight in the club competition.
City are favourites, but they have to work hard
Manchester City welcome Leipzig to the “Etihad Stadium” (COSMOTE SPORT 2HD and LIVE on Sportish), where the 1-1 draw on German soil does not dampen the guests’ hopes of qualifying. Obviously Pep Guardiola’s team has the upper hand but it’s by no means an easy task.
We remind you that in the first game “Citizens” took the lead with Mahrez and equalized with head or Guardiol. The The English champions have four consecutive Premier League and FA Cup wins while remaining unbeaten in their last 23 home games at the institution (21 wins and 2 draws). Stones is out for City.
In contrast, the Germans are fighting for the championship with an impressive 3-0 win against Gladbach. Absent are Gulachi, Dialo, Enku and Slager.
Neratzouri has a small lead
In the other game of the evening, Porto host Inter in the “Dragão” (COSMOTE SPORT 3HD and LIVE on Sportish) and the visitors have a narrow lead after winning 1-0 in Milan. Scorer for Simone Inzaghi’s team was Lukaku in the 86th minute.
Inter came from a strong “blow” in the league and lost to Spezia, while after the first game against Porto they also lost to Bologna. So it will be interesting to see how he does in the match. Goossens and Dalbert are absent and Correa, Skriniar are doubtful.
In return, the “Dragons” fight for the excitement. In the first game they had many chances to score but were met by an impressive Onanas who made many saves. The suspended Ottavio and the injured Evanilsson Marcelo are not counted by Sergio Conceição.
