Manchester City took a clear lead against Leipzig in qualifying, with big star Erling Haaland scoring twice in as many minutes, first from a penalty and then from a header.

Manchester City needed a goal to take the lead after a 1-1 draw in Germany in the Champions League quarter-finals against Leipzig, and scored two in as many minutes.

The common denominator is Erling Haaland, whom the Norwegian striker executed from a Blasvig penalty in the 22nd minute (the penalty was awarded by the referee after seeing Henrich’s hand on Rodri’s head on the monitor) and beat him in the 24th minute the header from De Bruyne’s shot rattled the crossbar.

It is even noted that the City forward made history with those two goals, as he was the fastest to score 30 goals in the Champions League (he only needed 25 games, Ruud Van Nistelrooy had needed 34), but also the youngest to achieve this number at the age of 22 years and 236 days (Messi had done it at the age of 23 years and 131 days).

Haaland didn’t just stop there, however, as he made it 3-0 for City in the 45+2′ from the small area, with the Norwegian scoring five hat-tricks this season (first in this year’s Champions League) and now tallying up 37 goals in 36 games for City in all competitions.
