Pochettino: ‘It’s unbelievable that VAR didn’t see the foul on Donaroma’
Mauricio Pochettino believes there was a foul in Benzema’s cover against Donaroma in the 1-1 stage, with the Argentine coach stating it’s incredible that the VAR didn’t step in to award the foul.
Paris Saint-Germain suffered the defeat against Real Madrid at the Santiago Bernabeu and were excluded from the continuation of the Champions League.
In his statements immediately after the game, Mauricio Pochettino complained about the referees and in particular about the phase of the first goal, in which the Parisians asked for an offensive foul by Benzema on Donaroma before the 1-1 draw.
“When you concede a goal like we did, the mentality changes. The fans carried their team and everything changed. Can’t believe the VAR didn’t see the foul on Donaroma. I don’t understand what they did“said, among other things, the Argentine coach for this phase.
