Roten: “Messi goes on the pitch, Neymar jokes and Leonardo disaster”
The exclusion of Paris from the continuation of the Champions League caused a lot of excitement for the club, with the team’s veteran Jerome Rothen succeeding with harsh language against Messi, Neymar and Leonardo.
Paris Saint-Germain endured a half-hour nightmare at the Bernabeu, enough to see them eliminated in the Champions League quarter-finals, and now their big stars are ‘bathing’ in the aftermath, with criticism falling mostly on them following Real’s exclusion.
Typical are Jerome Rothen’s remarks on French radio station “RMC”, in which the veteran Parisian winger (2004-2010) takes aim at Messi and Neymar and comments disparagingly on both the Argentinian and the Argentinian.
“They’re both responsible for the defeat, they’re mercenaries. I’m ashamed to talk about Messi like that, but the guy goes on the pitch.

“Now, which player is the best representative of the personality of Paris? Which player can a fan identify with?
