Champions League
At the beginning of November, the group curtain will come to the UEFA competitions because of the World Cup
UEFA has announced the 2022 calendar for European competitions, with Champions League groups ending on November 2nd and Europa League and Conference League groups ending on November 3rd due to the World Cup in Qatar.
The hosting of the 2022 World Cup in Qatar will affect the UEFA calendar for the 2022/23 season. Specifically, the European Federation has made an announcement and announced the full program of qualifying matches as well as the groups of European competitions for the next season.
Unlike in previous years, when the groups were closed in mid-December, the year ends at the beginning of November on 2/11 of the Champions League and 3/11 of the Europa League and Conference League.
The World Cup will take place from November 21 to December 18, i.e. in winter, for the first time in history. FIFA is asking the organizing authorities to suspend all tournaments by Sunday, November 13th, so that calls from international football players can start on Monday, the 14th of the month.
The draws for the knockout rounds of the three UEFA competitions will take place on November 7th and the next stages are expected to start normally in mid-February 2023.
