At the Champions League final, two City players led in two statistical categories, with Haaland becoming the season’s top scorer with 12 goals and De Bruyne providing the most assists (7).
This year’s Champions League final was a dream come true for Manchester City after they were crowned European champions for the first time in their history, and for Pep Guardiola, who raised the trophy with big ears for the third time in his coaching career, but it also brought two important things with itself firsts and to the two highest quality players of citizens.
Erling Haaland emerged as the top scorer of this year’s tournament with 12 goals, beating Mohamed Salah (8) and Kylian Mbappe and Vinicius (both 7 goals), while Kevin De Bruyne was first with 7 assists and Vinicius was second on the relevant list with 6.
