With Aitor and Zeka the mission for Kozice, possible change in the euro list

Panathinaikos on Sunday evening (23/7) completed their preparation in Athens for their first match against Dnipro in Kozice for the second qualifying round of the Champions League on Tuesday (25/7, 9:00 p.m.), with a “click” slower pace in terms of training intensity, but with a big focus on details and static phases.

The training “news” of course had to do with Ivan Jovanovic opting for the Panathinaikos squad – leaving on Monday morning (24/7) at 09:35 for Kozice and Zeka Aitor, despite neither originally being on Panathinaikos’ European list.

This shows that in the mind of the Serbian technician (also) the scenario for a possible change in the final Euro list with the “entry” of either Zeka or Aitor in the position of eg Geremegev. Especially if Fotis Ioannidis is confirmed to be fully ready and available as an extra option from the bench to help out during the game.

A decision has not yet been made, but in any case Jovanović (also) wanted both players in the group on the flight to Košice for psychological reasons and will make the final decisions after training on Monday (24 July) in the Košická futbalová arena.

In any case, Panathinaikos and all teams have the right to make up to two changes to their Europa list until midnight on the eve of the first match, i.e. until Monday (24/7) at 23:59.
