Panathinaikos: Strict security measures on the avenue for the game against Marseille
For fear of incident, the security measures around the Leoforos Stadium for the Panathinaikos-Marseille game are tight.
After the sad events in New Philadelphia, it was decided that there would be extra tight security measures at the Avenue Stadium for the game between Panathinaikos and Marseille (8.9., 21:00, Cosmote Sport 1HD, live from Sportish).
There are pedestrian control zones around the stadium, there is a heavy police presence at train stations and in the subway, and even the police have been mobilized.
A police helicopter flies over the field, and a public prosecutor is on the field alongside the two UEFA observers.
