With Davis in the 11th team, Bayern take on Villarreal after just under four months
Emery and Nagelsmann announced the teams they will be playing against Villarreal and FC Bayern in the first quarter-finals of the Champions League, which will be held at Theramika (10 p.m., COSMOTE SPORT 3 HD).
The Champions League is preparing to offer the second court of the quarter-finals in terms of the first games, with Villarreal taking on Bayern on Wednesday night (6/4, 10:00 p.m., COSMOTE SPORT 3 HD and LIVE by Sportish) and two coaches must make known their starting lineups.
The big news is undoubtedly the presence of Alfonso Davis in the German champions’ starting XI. The Canadian defender returns to action after an absence of almost four months as he is suffering from coronavirus disease which has left him with mild myocarditis.
The yellow sub will compete with a 4-3-3 formation and Danzuma at the top with the support of Moreno and Lo Celso, while the six-time European champions will fight in a 4-2-3-1 where Gnabri, Miller and Koman will support Robert Lewandowski, who will play up front.
