Nagelsmann made no excuses for the Bayern accident in Theramika
Julian Nagelsmann made no excuses after FC Bayern Munich lost 1-0 away at Villarreal. Satisfaction on the contrary for Unai Emery.
FC Bayern Munich’s image was very bad against Villarreal and deservedly lost 0-1 in the first quarter-finals of the Champions League. Bayern did little in the Theramikas grass, threatened little and deserved nothing more than Unai Emery’s well-tuned Spanish machine.
Julian Nagelsmann did not look for excuses: “It’s a deserved defeat, we weren’t good. “In the first half we had very little energy, we didn’t create any chances and we lost control of the game.”
The yellow sub’s trainer, Unai Emery, was clearly pleased: “We are happy but cautious at the same time. I want to beat Bayern Munich. I want to make it, and if I don’t, I’ll be disappointed.
We want to go to the semifinals. And the team has become competitive. We have to be more demanding and correct the few small mistakes we made today. It may be a historic moment, but there are still 90 minutes.”
