The penalty not given to AEK in covering Sidibe
AEK called for a second-half penalty after Sidibe was brought down by Mihailichenko in the Dinamo Zagreb penalty area, but play went on as the referee and VAR disagreed.
AEK equalized through Zuber in the 59th minute against Dinamo Zagreb and that gave Almeida’s men the impetus to look for a turnaround that could well come minutes later.
It was the phase where Sidibe fell into the area Mykhailichenko stepped on the gas, the VAR checked the phase and agreed with the referee who didn’t call a foul, so the game can continue.
