AEK, in its new announcement, urged the people who will be at OPAP Arena for Saturday’s match against Dinamo Zagreb to be extra careful and honor Michalis Katsouri’s memory by protecting the Union.

AEK is hosting on Saturday (19.8.). 21:45, COSMOTE SPORT 1HD, LIVE Sportish) In the second leg of the 2-1 draw in Croatia, Dinamo Zagreb made a new announcement urging people who will be at the OPAP Arena on Saturday to be extra careful and warning of the strict measures that will apply both inside and outside the pitch.

The title of AEK’s announcement is typical: “We honor the memory of Michalis by protecting AEK.”

The relevant announcement states:

“Due to the importance of the game against Dinamo Zagreb, PAE AEK feel the need to reach out to our fans again, not only for competitive reasons.

The aim is to celebrate together a great qualification and an equally important victory for a smooth running of the race. We can and must do it. We reiterate: nothing will honor the memory of Michalis on Saturday night other than qualifying and not putting AEK in jeopardy.

The strict measures and the way in which they will be respected are now being imposed primarily by the Greek government and from the very beginning by UEFA itself. The presence of the police is a key element of these measures and this necessity must be respected in all respects. Anything else just destroys AEK. Not less.

Nobody should leave the stadium without a ticket! From 6.45 p.m., when the stadium gates open, no one will go through the strict pre-checks without a ticket.

Nobody should attempt to enter the stadium with a backpack or bag. These too will be removed at the pre-checks and nobody will pass them.

Any offensive behavior may result in grandstand closure in subsequent games or even a home penalty.

There is no place for a sparkler, laser or smoke generator to appear in the stadium for even a second.

No one in the aisles of the stands. The corridors must be empty, otherwise AEK will be penalized.

No banners with content that indicates the start of the game or our opponents that could cause serious problems for AEK.

No one in the stadium with an unticketed child. No child gets in without a ticket and it will cause inconvenience to everyone at the entrances.

Everyone at the stadium as early as possible to avoid queues and inconveniences. There is a very strict control process.

Keep proof of identity with you in case required by the relevant authorities.

Everything will be as it should be if we take our minds off of something other than racing and trying to qualify with the warm support of the team. This is what the honor in memory of our Michael demands above all!!!

Any harm done to our team is also an insult to the memory of our man who was unjustly lost. If we are not who we should be, we will only harm AEK and ourselves.

Thank you in advance for your cooperation. We are sure that you will put the well-being of AEK above everything and everyone and only with your voice and passion will you lead the team to a great European success.”
