Shocking moments in OPAP Arena: AEK players honored Michalis’ memory
Before the start of the match between AEK and Dinamo, Union footballers honored the memory of Michalis Katsouris by laying flowers in front of his photo.
The moments before kick-off between AEK and Dinamo Zagreb in the 2-1 return leg for Union in the 3rd qualifying round of the Champions League were intense and emotional.
In particular, the Union footballers stood in front of the organizers’ horseshoe and put flowers on the photo of Michalis Katsouris.
The lights in the OPAP Arena went out as fans chanted “Michali zeis pa panta AEKtzis” in a spooky scene. In fact, at some point, Michalis’ photo appeared alongside Alki’s from the matrices.
